Changing Lives

A grass roots movement has been launched to reach out and help change the lives of people around the world. Millions of families are in dire need of safe, affordable housing with clean water and electricity. Heroes and Hope, Duratherm Building Systems, Home Depot and Solar Craft are working together to meet this need and provide people the opportunity to live and grow in a healthy and comfortable home.

The first two homes will be built in Oaxaca Mexico in the fishing village of Puerto Escondido, to help two families in need. Lara is a single mother with four children. She is living in an abusive domestic situation and has temporary shelter provided by her parents. Antonio and Sol are newly weds looking to make a fresh start and struggling to raise a family.

On September 20th construction will begin of two homes in Puerto Escondido for these two families in need. The initiative will serve as an example and testimony of what can be accomplished on a much larger scale throughout Mexico, and internationally…one home…one family…one life at a time.

To support the building of two homes Heroes and Hope, a non-profit (501c3), is collecting donations that will be used to fund the acquisition of materials, building two homes and creating a media kit that can help launch future endeavors.
